SUBJECT: Expression of appreciation
The U.S. Postal Service and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Co-chairs of the Workplace Dispute Section, would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation and support throughout the past year. Since the Section held its first general meeting a year ago approximately ninety federal agencies have attended 26 programs covering a wide variety of ADR topics.
In her opening statement to the newly formed Interagency ADR Working Group, Attorney General Janet Reno challenged each federal agency to develop a new ADR program or to significantly enhance an existing one during 1999. The WPDS goal was to provide all the necessary tools and information for agencies to design and implement workplace dispute resolution programs in order to meet this challenge. Your enthusiastic participation in this year's WPDS programs demonstrated your determination to meet or exceed this goal and to play a significant role in fostering the use of ADR to resolve workplace disputes.
We greatly appreciate those individuals who volunteered both their time and expertise to assist in making the 1999 WPDS programs a success. Your willingness to share your experience, your expertise and your work product serves as a tangible model of interagency collaboration and cooperation envisioned for the IADRWG.
Once again, thank you for taking the time and effort to attend the WPDS sessions. This important interagency initiative would not be possible without your support and participation, and we look forward to your continued involvement in future WPDS events.
