The map shows cannabis eradication sites in the Arizona HIDTA region in January through December 2008.

The HIDTA counties are Cochise, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, and Yuma.

The Mogollon Rim Area straddles Coconino and Yavapai Counties.

1,000-4,911 plants were eradicated from three sites: one on public land in the border area of Coconino and Yavapai counties, and two on public land in Gila County.

100-999 plants were eradicated from one site in Maricopa County.

1-99 plants were eradicated from 24 sites: eight in Yavapai County, five of which were on public land; one on public land in Gila County; one in Pima County; and the remainder in Maricopa County.

1,000-10,428 cannabis plants were eradicated in Gila County.

100-999 cannabis plants were eradicated in Maricopa and Navajo Counties.

20-99 cannabis plants were eradicated in Pima, Santa Cruz, and Yavapai Counties.

No cannabis plants were eradicated in Apache, Cochise, Coconino, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Pinal, or Yuma Counties.

According to Census 2000 population data, Phoenix, Arizona, is a major city with a population of 1,000,000 or more. Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mesa and Tucson, Arizona, are major cities with populations of 250,000-999,999. Sunrise Manor, Paradise, and Henderson, Nevada, and Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler, Arizona, are cities with populations of 150,000-249,999 people.

Laughlin International, Phoenix International, Tucson International and Yuma International are the international airports.

The Ports of Entry are San Luis, Lukeville, Sasabe, Nogales, Naco, and Douglas.

The interstates within this region are I-8, I-10, I-15, I-17, I-19 and I-40.

The U.S. highways shown are routes 60, 70, 93, 95, 160, 163, 180, and 191.

The state highways shown are routes 77, 79, 80, 82, 85, 86, 89, 90, and 92.

The Mexican highways shown are routes 1, 2, 5, and 15.

Department of Defense lands in the Arizona HIDTA are located in Cochise, La Paz, Maricopa, Pima, and Yuma Counties.

National Park Service lands in the Arizona HIDTA are located in Mohave and Pima Counties.

USDA Forest Service lands in the Arizona HIDTA are located in Cochise, Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Pinal, and Santa Cruz Counties.

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is located in the National Park Service lands in Pima County, adjacent to the Tohono O'odham Reservation.

The Tohono O'odham Reservation is primarily located in Pima County, but also extends into Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
