Independent Counsel Reply -- The Justice Department now has available replies to a number of Congressional requests that the Attorney General consider opening a preliminary investigation to determine whether an independent counsel should be appointed. FBI Laboratory Report -- Tomorrow, April 15, the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General will release its report on allegations of misconduct at the FBI laboratory, according to the following schedule: 9:00 a.m. The Report will be released, Embargoed Until 10:30, at the Justice Department's Office of Public Affairs. Reporters should pick up copies at Room 1228 or arrange to have copies left for them at the messenger pick-up center on Constitution Avenue. 10:30 a.m. Justice Department Inspector General Michael Bromwich will hold a press conference to discuss the results of the report, immediately followed by a press conference by FBI Deputy Director William Esposito.
