TWO WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, MEN
SENTENCED ON GUN CHARGES

DALLAS - Two Wichita Falls men were sentenced on Friday following their convictions earlier this year on firearms charges, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas.

U.S. Senior District Judge Jerry Buchmeyer sentenced Mondre Donyee Neal, 29, to 70 months in federal prison. He pled guilty in June to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Judge Buchmeyer also sentenced Obahkyina Jamie Fuller, 33, to 89 months in federal prison. He pled guilty in June to the same offense.

Both Neal and Fuller were gang members, and each had been convicted of a violent crime before being caught with a firearm.

U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Wichita Falls, Texas, Police Department. These cases were presented for federal prosecution under the Project Safe Neighborhood initiative, a federal program designed to quickly and aggressively prosecute and punish firearm-related offenses.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Tromblay.
