Second Claim

I was disheartened to learn that you are taking a disinterested, unresponsive stand to a second claim. That the rule is one claim per family. In our case there is no such animal as one family. Rules have exceptions and you have the power to change the rule or state law.

Our family of divorce and then the remarriage by the deceased are two very separate families.

The children have not spoken to or had any contact with the stepparent since September 11.

The SP has collected all the money, has not shared it with the deceased' three children. There will certainly be deductions bec. of the money she has received. Where's the fairness for the children?

The children will receive NOTHING under this current law. They knew their dad years longer than the new spouse.

You have to allow TWO CLAIMS for these special circumstances. Then, this will eliminate in-fighting among families.

I am asking you to look at families of divorce where the children are surely going to be BIG LOSERS IN THIS.

Thank you.
