Victim Compensation Amounts

Barring some proof of negligence on the part of the federal government, I feel the estimated $1.6 million per victim family is not justified to be paid from taxpayer funded sources. If confiscated assets from the terrorists can be used, then distribute that as far as it will go.

Tomorrow is guaranted to none of us. Each of us must make provision for the possibilty of his premature death. The number of victims coupled with the amount of devastation makes this an enormous tragedy. However, if these victims had died on their way to or from work that day, we wouldn't be involved in this discussion.
