Frances Hicks www.FrancesHicks.com To Whom it May Concern: My name is Frances Hicks and I am a California Realtor. I haven't been in the busy but 3 years, but this is a very costly business to be in and it is very competitive. If it weren't for the competition it wouldn't cost so much. When the market is tight here, (low inventory) we have buyers bidding for properties. 2. Our MLS is not a utility, it is a cooperative sharing of information. In this technolocial age that we live in, our MLS is our main means of doing business as a Realtor. We already make it available fo our clients to search for properties on their own, but the agent is still in controll. Buyers and sellers need the expertise of the agents. We live in a very litigious world. We nedd the top real estate companies to back us up with legal help; which we occasionally need. 3. We would also like the DOJ to accept the rules that the National Association of Realtors had come up with for our Internet Listing Display Policy. We are are in the age of Internet viewing and we need to protect our right to do so. Thanks for listiening, Frances Hicks Frances Hicks Copyright © 2005 Frances Hicks. All rights reserved |
