The MLS, created to offer broker-to-broker compensation and cooperation, is
a service that benefits first and foremost the home sellers who through one
agent have the advantage of having their properties exposed to all the
realtors participating in the system. But it is not a public utility, and
should not be; acces to it should remain limited to the paying members of
the service and unavailable to the general public, who already have access
to a wide variety of real estate websites, from which they have sufficient
information to establish if they want to know more by contacting the
brokerage company. |
