Subject: Real Estate is a Competitive Business
Attention Antitrust Division
U S Department of Justice
All businesses that have separate names but sell the same type of product
are very competitive.
If the Real Estate industry were to change their fees based on the time
of the year when the customer purchases in order to gain personally
as the Oil industry does, then you would investigate us for trying to
gain too much profit and collusion within our industry.
We feel that you have not treated all entities alike when it comes to
the Real Estate industry.
If we were to merge and have only ten(10) or eleven(11) companies in
our industry then you would go after us for trying to control the market,
but the Oil Industries have done this and you have not said a word and
also allowed them to merge into a small and controlling group that has
tripled their profits even after hiding all the other income that they
could.
It is time to look at all entities as you do the Oil Companies.
This would I assure you give us a break that we so deserve.
Would you consider us a monopoly if we raised our prices several times
a year and wanted to get more income because the people would be driving
more because of the holidays?
Thank you.
