Comments: From: craig@northernrockiesrealestate.com Attn: Mr. Lee Quinn Dear Mr. Quinn I as a REALTOR am very aware of the baseless complaints levied against the National Association of REALTORS, dated October 4, 2005. This complaint is baseless because it charges that the MLS services ,which we use and pay for individually is somehow conflicting with other Internet Sales Agencies. This is a service which we pay for, to be used within our specific trade area to share our listings, between offices. This does contain confidential information to be shared only with the subscribing offices and not for public knowledge. Such as the commission split between offices, legal descriptions, etc. Most all of us also have a web page of our own, with which we willingly share our information with anyone, who might be interested. Also if anyone wishes to see what is being offered by our local boards, all that one needs to do, is go to www.realtor.com and all of the listings are available to anyone. It is our experience that most individuals looking to purchase a home or relocate to a certain area are already aware of the various methods availabe to consumers to find listings. Please consider the findings of the October 24. 2005 workshop, which did determine that the real estate industry is a very competitive industry and the local competition is very fierce. I had to work very hard to get my license and to maintain it on an annual basis and also at the same time have to compete with each office for listings and sales. Thank you for your considerationI Craig G. Wetterlund, Broker/Owner Northern Rockies Real Estate, Inc. |
