PLEASE NOTE: This status does not guarantee that a candidate will be interviewed or contacted by the component(s) that are considering him or her for employment. Some components make offers based on a review of the application package only. |
| Late October | DOJ notifies applicants not selected for further consideration by e-mail |
| Mid-October – Mid-November | Components that do not hire on the basis of the application package conduct interviews by telephone, video conferencing or in field offices. Components contact candidates individually - this is not centrally managed. |
| Mid-November - December | DOJ extends most offers |
| Early December | DOJ notifies candidates not selected as finalists |
