Department of Justice and Department of Education Joint Guidance on the Voluntary Use of Race
On September 27, 2013, the U.S. Departments of Justice and Education issued Questions and Answers regarding the Supreme Court's June 24, 2013 decision in Fisher v. Texas. The Q & A provides information to colleges and universities about the Fisher case and implementing programs to promote diversity on campus consistent with the Supreme Court's decision. The Departments also reiterate that the 2011 guidances on the Voluntary Use of Race to Achieve Diversity remain in place.
