Pre-Employment Orientation Information
(for new hires with offer letters)
The objective of the Civil Rights Division's Office of Human Resources and Security (OHRS) is to make your New Employee Orientation (NEO) pleasant and for you to reach your worksite as soon as possible. We do this by making several of the forms that you will need to complete available to you prior to your first day. Once the Department of Justice approves you to commence employment, your servicing Human Resources Specialist, will inform you when and where to report for NEO. At that time, you will receive additional paperwork and take your oath of office.
Below is a list of electronic forms, some of which you may complete on-line. If you have a read-only version of Adobe Acrobat, the information entered on these forms will not be saved or be retrievable later, but will be deleted once you exit the form. Please review each form for accuracy. When you have completed the forms to your satisfaction, print and bring them to the NEO unsigned and undated. Handwritten forms must be legible. You do not have to provide OHRS with a copy of the printed instructions. You may want to retain a copy of the forms for your records.
Below the forms are links to additional information that will be helpful to you as a new employee, including information on Federal benefits available to Department of Justice employees.
If you have any questions, please contact the OHRS contact noted in your letter of employment. Thank you and welcome to the Civil Rights Division.
