Attorney General Eric Holder welcomed James Cole as the Department of Justice’s new Deputy Attorney General. Cole was sworn in by the Attorney General following President Obama’s recess appointment of Cole.

Attorney General Holder and Deputy Attorney General Cole converse and embark upon this new era of the Department’s history in the Attorney General’s conference room.
Before entering private practice Deputy Attorney General Cole worked for the Department for 13 years in the Criminal Division and then as Deputy Chief of its Public Integrity Section.
