A career as a DEA Special Agent is supported by an excellent federal benefits package. This means you will be eligible to enroll in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program, as well as the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) program, which offers basic coverage featuring Standard, Optional, Additional and Family Life insurance. Coverage under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) will also allow you to contribute a portion of your income to a 401(k)-type program. Additional benefits consist of training, relocation expenses and a Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). You will also earn vacation and sick leave according to your years of service.
