New York Woman Sentenced for Distributing Marijuana
MAR 29 -- June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New New England and Kevin J. O’Connor, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that CAROL WILLIAMS, age 31, formerly of 17833 178th Avenue, Queens, New York, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Mark R. Kravitz in New Haven to 10 months of imprisonment, time served, followed by two years of supervised release, for distributing marijuana.
On September 26, 2005, WILLIAMS pleaded guilty and admitted that on June 3, 2005, she and co-defendant George Wilson traveled from New York to Stamford, Connecticut, and delivered 100 pounds of marijuana to an undercover law enforcement officer.
On October 26, 2005, Wilson pleaded guilty to distributing marijuana. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Kravitz on May 25, 2006.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
