Bridgeport Woman Sentenced To Federal Prison
For Distributing Cocaine
MAY 9 -- June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New England and Kevin J. O’Connor, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that ANNE IANNIELLO, age 41, of Brewster Street, Bridgeport, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Mark R. Kravitz in New Haven 12 months and one day of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release. On July 13, 2006, IANNIELLO pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine.
According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, between July 2003 and June 30, 2005, IANNIELLO conspired to possess 500 grams or more of cocaine, which she then distributed. In pleading guilty, IANNIELLO admitted that purchased cocaine from three different sources and resold the cocaine to support her cocaine addition.
The evidence establishing IANNIELLO’s participation in the conspiracy included tape recordings of phone conversations, videotapes of cocaine purchases and statements of cooperating witnesses.
This matter was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
