West Haven Man Who Distributed Crack Sentenced to Federal Prison
DEC 05 -- Kevin L. Lane, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and Nora R. Dannehy, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JUAN LOPEZ-NEGRON, 27, of North Place, West Haven, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for distributing cocaine base (“crack cocaine”). On April 30, 2008, LOPEZ-NEGRON pleaded guilty to one count of a three-count indictment.
According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, on August 1, 2007, LOPEZ-NEGRON sold a quantity of crack cocaine to an individual who was cooperating with federal law enforcement.
This matter was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
