New Hampshire Woman Sentenced on Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine Base("Crack")

NOV 23 -- CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE : Steven W. Derr, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and United States Attorney John P. Kacavas announced today that Gillian Barrett, 27, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment after previously pleading guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine Base(“Crack”) in Excess of Five Grams. Upon her release from prison, Barrett will be placed on supervised release for four years.

An investigation by the Somersworth Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration revealed that during January and February 2008, Barrett and others were distributing “crack” cocaine in excess of five grams from Barrett’s residence in Somersworth.
