DEA Detroit Presents Drug Endangered Children Kits
to the Michigan State Police

APR 14 -- Detroit Field Division (FD) S/A Patrick Johnakin presented Inspector Karen Halliday and Lieutenant Tony Saucedo of the Michigan State Police with the Detroit Field Division's D.E.C. (Drug Endangered Children) Kits. Each Kit contains protocol for medical evaluation of children found in clandestine labs, replacement clothing, medical gloves and wipes, information for victims and witnesses of federal crimes and a toy for the child.

The Kits will be distributed to the Michigan State Police clandestine lab personnel throughout Michigan and will be utilized to process children affected by methamphetamine labs. The Detroit Field Division is currently working on distributing the Kits in Ohio and Kentucky in the coming months.
