Three Western Kentucky Meth Dealers Sentenced To:
-- 10 years, 10 months; 5 years, 10 months; 4 years, 9 months 
-- Conspired to sell over $34,000 of meth

DEC 12-- PADUCAH, KY - Danny Webb, age 42 of Draffenville, Kentucky, was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months imprisonment; Shannon Hargrove, age 38, of Cadiz, Kentucky, was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months imprisonment; and Kerry Lee Wigginton, age 38 of Princeton, Kentucky, was sentenced to 4 years and 9 months imprisonment in United States District Court, Paducah, Kentucky, for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today. Thomas B. Russell, Judge, United States District Court, also sentenced Webb, Hargrove, and Wigginton to 4 years supervised release following incarceration. There is no parole in the federal judicial system.

Webb, Hargrove, and Wigginton had pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute more than 5 grams of methamphetamine as charged in the Indictment. Webb had also pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing methamphetamine in Marshall County, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of his drug trafficking, namely a 9mm Beretta handgun.

This case originated as an undercover operation where the Kentucky State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration utilized a confidential informant to conduct five controlled purchases of methamphetamine totaling 341 grams from the defendants during the course of the conspiracy. All three defendants admitted that the last undercover purchase was for 8 ounces of methamphetamine (224 grams) for $12,500. The total methamphetamine recovered during the course of the conspiracy has a street value of over $34,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michele Thielhorn and it was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Kentucky State Police, and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
