Henderson Man Indicted on Federal Methamphetamine Charges
OCT 9 -- (OWENSBORO, KY) - A federal grand jury in Bowling Green, Kentucky, returned an indictment against Nathaniel Tyrone Weathers, age 26, of 2812 Meadowlark Lane, Henderson, Kentucky, on charges of possession with the intent to distribute 5 grams or more methamphetamine on three occasions, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The Indictment alleges that on June 4th, 5th, and 25th, 2007, Weathers sold 43 grams of methamphetamine for approximately $11,000 in Henderson, Kentucky.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 40 years imprisonment, a $2,000,000 fine; and the minimum potential penalties are 5 years imprisonment, and supervised release for a period of 4 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney, J. Scott Davis, and it was investigated by the Kentucky State Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Weathers is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on October 14, 2008, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.
