Cocaine Supplier of a Large Northern Kentucky Drug Ring Sentenced to 21 Years in Federal Prison
Vincent Nunley supplied cocaine to Kentucky drug ring over course of many years

OCT 01 (COVINGTON, Ky.)– An Ohio man with prior convictions for drug and violent crimes was sentenced today to 21 years in prison for supplying cocaine to an extensive drug ring that operated in Northern Kentucky over the course of several years.

U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves sentenced 32-year-old Vincent Nunley of Cincinnati for conspiracy to distribute over 5 kilograms of cocaine. Nunley was the last of 11 defendants in the conspiracy to be sentenced. Previously, James Holt, Daniel Maley, Charles Slone, Shasta Hodges, Tina Mullins, Kevin Mullins, Carl Ridpath, William Hensley, and Jesse Johnson were sentenced for conspiring to distribute marijuana and cocaine in Kenton County. The sentences imposed ranged from 38 to 262 months.

Court records revealed that, for more than five years, Nunley supplied kilogram quantities of cocaine to Holt. In turn, Holt, Maley, and Johnson supplied the other co-defendants, who were street-level distributors. The group operated out of Covington. Nunley pleaded guilty to the cocaine conspiracy charge in June.

Under federal law, all of the defendants must serve 85 percent of their respective prison sentences, and, upon release, will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office.

Kerry B. Harvey, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Robert L. Corso, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Detroit Field Division, jointly made the announcement today.

The investigation was conducted by the DEA. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented by Assistant United States Attorneys Elaine K. Leonhard and Anthony J. Bracke.
