DEA Task Force Arrest Two for Prescription Drug Distribution
JUN 20 -- (LOS ANGELES) – The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Northern Nevada Drug Task Force announced today the arrest of two individuals involved in the illegal distribution of prescription drugs. On June 19, 2007, the DEA Northern Nevada Drug Task Force conducted an operation in the 1900 block of Sutro Avenue in Reno, NV which resulted in the arrest of Michele Huber, 23 and Wilheminia Collins, 45, both of Reno, NV.
Both Ms. Huber and Ms. Collins were arrested when they delivered a quantity of Vicodin and Soma, both scheduled prescription drugs, to the area where the operation was taking place. Ms. Huber and Ms. Collins face charges for trafficking, sales and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. In addition, Ms. Huber faces charges of child endangerment after it was discovered she brought two minor-aged children to the scene of her arrest.
The DEA Northern Nevada Drug Task Force is an initiative within the Nevada High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Program and is comprised of Special Agents and Task Force Officers from DEA, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and the Nevada Department of Public Safety-Investigations Division.
