DEA Begins 5th Gift Giving Season
NOV 17 -- WESTON – The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Miami Field Division (MFD) Federal Women’s Program begins its fifth year of gift giving to needy children today. Members of the Kids in Distress (KID) Auxiliary delivered 300 wish list ornaments to be hung on a tree in the DEA building’s lobby. The 300 wish lists come from needy Broward County children ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old. Their wish lists include toys, clothing, and electronics. DEA employees will purchase gifts to fulfill the lists over the next month and the gifts will be picked up by KID and delivered to the children in time for the holiday.
The MFD has participated in similar programs for the past four years purchasing gifts for 200-300 needy children in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties each year.
