DEA Miami Field Division Seeks Public’s Assistance in Locating A Federal Fugitive

DEC 07 (MIAMI) – The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Miami Field Division requests the media and public’s assistance in locating a DEA federal fugitive, Scott Alan Harper Jr, a/k/a Scott Allen Harper.  Harper was indicted in March 2011, out of the Middle District of Florida for Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Five Kilograms or More of Cocaine.  Four other defendants were charged and convicted for their involvement in this investigation. Harper is the only fugitive in this investigation.

Harper fled the Tampa Bay area after learning of his indictment.  The DEA Tampa District Office has pursued various investigative leads in their attempts to locate Harper, but Harper still remains at large.  Intelligence indicates that Harper may be residing in South Florida and returns periodically to the Tampa area to visit.

Upon conviction, Harper may face a mandatory term of life imprisonment based on a statutory enhancement resulting from his prior felony drug convictions.(Harpers Bio)

Harper is described as a white male, age 27, approximately 5 ft.7 in., 160 lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, and lean build. Harper has a $ sign tattoo on his left cheek and has tattoos covering his neck with “Bay Area” scribed under a cross shape in the center.  Harper’s criminal history consists of, but not limited to: burglary, trespassing, reckless driving, drug possessions, drug manufacturing, drug trafficking, and fleeing from law enforcement.

Harper does not have a history of being armed and dangerous; however, anyone who comes in contact with him should use extreme caution and contact law enforcement immediately.  Anyone with any information on Harper’s whereabouts is asked to contact the DEA Tampa District Office at (813) 380-0952 or the United States Marshals Service at (786) 433-6681.
