DEA's New Orleans Finalizes Plans to Host the "Target America" Exhibit

MAY 6 -- On May 15, 2009, SAC Jimmy Fox and U.S. Attorney Jim Letten met with Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu and members of his staff to finalize plans for the DEA New Orleans Office to host DEA’s traveling museum. The museum exhibit entitled “Target America: Opening Eyes to the Damage Drugs Cause” has been in Los Angeles since October 2, 2008. The museum will be located in the Old U.S. Mint, 400 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA. The Old U.S. Mint is a National Historic Landmark that was built in 1835 during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. The Old U.S. Mint currently serves as a host to various special events and traveling exhibits.
