Pre-Red Ribbon Week talk to 4th-8th graders by IA Jennifer Fafard about the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs; told them about DEA and SA Camarena and Red Ribbon Week. They will be decorating classrrom doors and writing essays with theme "The Best Me is Drug Free". Also, creating pedge wall. IA Fafard and coalition will go back during RRW to see what they have done, take pledge, hand out ribbons, etc...

IA Jennifer Fafard of the Springfield RO spoke with 4th and 5th graders about the dangers of drugs, DEA, and Red Ribbon Week. Student will decorate school hallway for Red Ribbon Week with photos, pledge, and their hopes and dreams. IA Fafard wil go back during RRW and see hallway, students will take pledge, and handout red ribbons.

Marsh Grammer School

SA Glen Coletti (DEA/NEFD) addressed 50 sixth grade students at the Marsh Middle School - Methuen, MA. Three middle school teachers were also in attendance. The presentation started with an introduction by SA Coletti followed by a viewing of the 2012 Red Ribbon Video produced by DEA Today and Demand Reduction Section. Upon completion of the video, SA Coletti opened up a question and answer discussion with the students and teachers. The time spent at the school was approximately 90 minutes.

Outdoor Candlelight Vigil

On Thursday, October 25th, 2012, communities across the nation will join Director Gil Kerlikowske, Office of National Drug Control Policy and NOPE Task Force in hosting the Sixth Annual NOPE Candle Light Vigil in memory of those lost to and suffering from substance abuse. Here in New Hampshire our Vigil will take place at 7 PM at the Gazebo and Park located on Main St and Prospect Street, Bethlehem NH.
