Special Agent gave a presentation to Cub Scouts Troop 872 on the history of Enrique “Kiki” Camarena and the importance of healthy life choices and not abusing drugs. The scouts enjoyed the Red Ribbon video and afterwards, they all joined in for the Drug Free Pledge.

Special Agents of the HIDTA Fajardo office conducted a demand reduction presentation to over 400 elementary, middle school and high school students on the dangers and consequences of using drugs as well as the history of Red Ribbon week and the legacy of Enrique Camarena.

The DEA St. Croix Resident Office (RO) with the PR/USVI HIDTA and the University of the Virgin Islands co-sponsored the 1 st Annual Enrique “KIKI” Camarena Band against Drugs Day. Several prominent politicians and law enforcement members of the USVI spoke to students regarding the dangers of drug use and the violence that is associated with drug trafficking. Red Ribbon skits and dance routines were also performed by the Student Association of the University of the Virgin Islands.
