Payette Man Sentenced for Possession with
JUL 30 -- (Payette, ID) - Jose Guadalupe Mata-Sanchez, 30, of Payette, Idaho, was sentenced yesterday to 76 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered Mata-Sanchez to serve four years of supervised release following his prison term. Mata-Sanchez pled guilty to the charges on April 19, 2010.
Mata-Sanchez was arrested in Nampa on November 10, 2009. The investigation revealed that Mata-Sanchez possessed four ounces of methamphetamine and two pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. Mata-Sanchez admitted to investigators that he intended to deliver the controlled substances to another individual.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Nampa Police Department.
