Jackson County Resident Indicted for Methamphetamine Conspiracy
FEB 24 - (BENTON, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on February 17, 2010, DREW A. SEIBERT, age 34, of Desoto, Illinois, was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury sitting in Benton, Illinois, in a one-count indictment charging him with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. The violation took place between January 2007, and December 5, 2009, in Jackson County.
The offense carries a penalty of 5-40 years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to $2,000,000, and a term of 4 years’ supervised release. SEIBERT made his initial appearance in federal court on February 23, 2010, and is currently being held without bond pending a February 26, 2010, detention hearing.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Jackson County
The case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Amanda A. Robertson for prosecution
