Texas Man Sentenced on Marijuana Offense
JUL 27 -- (Fort Worth, TX) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that Jeremy MALONE, age 25, of Fort Worth, Texas, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis. MALONE was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment and 4 years supervised release following his release from incarceration. The Court also ordered MALONE to pay a $500 fine and a $100 special assessment. MALONE had previously pled guilty on April 12, 2010, to an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew Simonson.
