Indiana Man Sentenced in Cocaine Case

AUG 20-- (ST. LOUIS, MO) - Harry S. Sommers, the Special Agent-in-Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s St. Louis Field Division, and A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on August 20, 2010, JOSE LUIS CALVO-SAUCEDO, age 49, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, to 70 months’ imprisonment, 3 years supervised release, a $625 fine, and a $100 special assessment fee. CALVO-SAUCEDO had previously pled guilty on May 5, 2010, to an indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine. The offense occurred on November 13, 2009, in Madison County, Illinois.
