East St. Louis Man Sentenced for Crack Cocaine Felony
(EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on September 24, 2010, EARL T. HOLMES, age 31,of East St. Louis, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court, East St. Louis, Illinois, to 60 months’ imprisonment, a $1,000 fine, and a term of 4 years’ supervised release.
HOLMES previously pled guilty on June 16, 2010, to an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. The violation took place on September 30, 2009, in Madison County, Illinois.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Madison County Saturation Detail which is directed by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald S. Boyce.
