Former
Milford Man Sentenced To 70 Months In Prison For Crack Cocaine Distribution
DEC 15--Worcester
.Mark
R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement
Administration in New England and United States Attorney Michael J.
Sullivan, announced today that U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton
sentenced Charles R. ROY, age 43, formerly of Milford, Massachusetts
to 5 years and 10 months in prison, to be followed by 6 years of supervised
release, in connection with distributing crack cocaine. ROY pleaded
guilty to the charge at a hearing earlier this year.
At the earlier
plea hearing, the prosecutor told the Court that, had the case proceeded
to trial, the evidence would have proven that ROY distributed crack
cocaine on October 6 and October 7, 1999, in Milford.
The investigation
was conducted by Special Agents of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration,
the Tri-County Drug Task Force, and the Milford Police Department. |
