Law Enforcement Foundation
On May 28, 2003 The Federal Law Enforcement Foundation held it's third Heroes' Night. Heroes' Night was formed by the FLEF in 1999 when they recognized that the hardships faced by families of agents and officers killed in action often become more difficult with each passing year after the death of their loved one. Once all the attention and focus on the tragedy ends and other people go back to their routines, the family is left to quietly persevere and endure their unimaginable grief. Often financial problems compound their sorrow. The foundation pledges never to forget that their loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice. The Foundation honors their memories just as they honored our freedom and our country with their years of dedication, hard work and bravery.
