Jefferson County Crack Cocaine Peddler Sentenced to Ten Years
-Previously Convicted in 2002 for Cocaine Trafficking

SEPT 19 -- LOUISVILLE, KY - U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today that Kenneth Duncan, age 36, of 4904 Saddlebrook Court, Apartment 2, Louisville, Kentucky, was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in United States District Court, for possession with intent to distribute and distribution of crack cocaine. Chief Judge John G. Heyburn, II, also sentenced Duncan to 5 years supervised release following incarceration.

Duncan pled guilty and admitted that on September 26, 2006, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, he knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute and distributed 55.3 grams of crack cocaine to an unidentified individual. According to the plea agreement, Duncan was aided and abetted in this drug transaction by co-defendant Audrey Johnson, who was the source of supply for the crack cocaine. The crack cocaine had an estimated street value of $5,500.

Duncan was previously convicted in May 2002 of 1 st Degree Trafficking in Cocaine out of Hardin County, Kentucky where he was sentenced to 7 years probation for selling 2.6 grams of cocaine.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel P. Kinnicutt, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
