Kentucky Men Indicted on Methamphetamine Conspiracy and Distribution
Defendant claims to be President of Kentucky Hell’s Angels

OCT 03 - PADUCAH, KY - U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today that a federal grand jury in Paducah, Kentucky, returned an indictment on August 12, 2008, against Charles Trent Willett, of Wingo, Kentucky, and Kevin Wayne Sawyer, of Mayfield, Kentucky, on charges of conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine.

The Indictment alleges that in the time frame between July 2007 and October 2007, Willett and Sawyer knowingly conspired with each other, and other persons, to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. The estimated street value of the drugs recovered by law enforcement in this case is $21,400.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are life imprisonment, a $6,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of at least 5 years.

At a detention hearing, defendant Willet stated he was the President of the Kentucky Hell’s Angels.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michele Thielhorn, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Kentucky State Police.
