AUG 20 -- CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE- - Steven W. Derr, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and Acting United States Attorney Michael J. Gunnison announced that on August 5, 2009, a federal grand jury indicted the following individuals in connection with the ongoing investigation into the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine in the Districts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Alan Phillips , 47, Chelmsford, MA, Thomas McElligott, 41, Nashua, NH, Philip Beaulieu , 52, Lowell, MA, Michael Chartier, 42, Fitchburg, MA, Frank Hahnl, 44, Nashua, NH, Nathan Rivard, 28, Candia, NH, Jocelyn Rehnburg, 30, Manchester, NH, Bobbi Miron, 50, Nashua, NH, Lindsay Miron, 24, Nashua, NH, Avey Wick, 37, Nashua, NH and Katherine Rich , 46, Nashua, NH are charged with conspiracy to manufacture quantities of methamphetamine at various locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Thomas McElligott is additionally charged with unlawful possession with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, maintaining a drug-involved premise at his residence located at 83 Gillis Street, Nashua, NH, possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of the Dr. Norman Crisp Elementary School, and possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine on premises in which a child was present.

Philip Beaulieu , Frank Hahnl, Bobbi Miron, Jocelyn Rehnburg, Nathan Rivard, and Avey Wick are also charged under the federal Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005 with knowingly purchasing more than 9 grams of ephedrine base, pseudoephedrine base, or phenylpropanolaime base within a thirty day period.

The on-going investigation, “Operation Crystal Baker”, is a coordinated effort between the United States Attorney’s Office, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Marshals Service, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, the Nashua Police Department, the Candia Police Department, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, and the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office. The defendants face up to 20 years imprisonment and fines up to $1,000,000 if convicted of the offenses.
