AUG 04 -- LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment against Stanford Lee Young, age 63, Sheila Young, age 34, and Matthew Young, age 54, all of Tampa, Florida, on charges of illegally conspiring to distribute, and distributing Oxycontin, Acting United States Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that between May 2009, and July 8, 2009, the defendants conspired to sell Oxycontin in Louisville, Kentucky. The indictment also alleges that the defendants distributed Oxycontin on June 4, 2009, July 7, 2009, and July 8, 2009. A criminal complaint was obtained against the three defendants on July 7, 2009. On July 8, 2009, Sheila and Matthew Young were arrested in Louisville, while Stanford Young was arrested in Tampa, Florida. In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 80 years imprisonment, a $4,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of at least 3 years.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Weiser, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
