Renton Man Sentenced to 5 Years for Drug Trafficking
Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana, Guns & Money Seized

OCT 28 -- (Seattle) –– DEA Acting Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Mark Thomas and the United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington, Jenny Durkan, announced that on October 23, 2009, Robert Eleccion was sentenced to five years in prison and four years of supervised release for attempted possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Eleccion was arrested in Federal Way, Washington on November 24, 2008, and pleaded guilty February 19, 2009.

According to records filed in the case, the investigation began when two other defendants were arrested by the Oregon State Police with two kilograms of cocaine and six pounds of methamphetamine. One of the defendants said the drugs were to be delivered to “Roberto.” Subsequently, Eleccion arrived in Federal Way, Washington to pick up the drugs and was arrested. Eleccion had agreed to purchase two kilograms of cocaine for $15,000 and a pound of methamphetamine for $18,000. Agents seized more than $53,000 from Eleccion’s car. At Eleccion’s home agents seized five kilograms of marijuana, 11 firearms, and more than $34,000 cash. An additional pound of methamphetamine was hidden in the garage inside a Playstation box.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with key assistance from the Oregon State Police.
