Madison Illinois Man Sentenced for Distribution of Crack Cocaine

JUN 30 -- (EAST ST. LOUIS, IL) - A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced that on June 26, 2009, Isaiah J. GREGORY, age 25, of Madison, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to 327 months imprisonment, was fined $875, and was placed on five years supervised release.

GREGORY had previously pleaded guilty on March 11, 2009, to Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Cocaine Hydrochloride; two counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine within 1000 feet of a Public Housing Authority; Distribution of Crack Cocaine; and Distribution of Cocaine Hydrochloride. GREGORY’s two co-defendants have previously pleaded guilty and been sentenced.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deirdre A. Durborow.
