Pawtucket Cocaine Dealer is Sentenced to 157 Months in Prison

JUN 23 -- A federal judge has sentenced Timothy Falcon, 44, of Pawtucket, to 157 months in federal prison for cocaine trafficking and firearms offenses. Drug Enforcement Administration agents and Pawtucket Police officers last September found more than a half kilogram of cocaine in two Pawtucket residences linked to Falcon. They also found two loaded handguns, one in the trunk of Falcon’s car, the other in a safe.

June W. Stansbury, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New England and United States Attorney Robert Clark Corrente announced the sentence, which Chief U.S. District Court Judge Mary M. Lisi imposed on June 20 in U.S. District Court, Providence. In March, Falcon pleaded guilty to four charges. At the plea hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Sandra R. Beckner said the government could prove that, in September 2007, DEA Task Force agents and Pawtucket Police officers obtained search warrants for apartments on Denver and Prospect Streets in Pawtucket. While agents were conducting surveillance outside the Denver Street apartment, Falcon left in his car, spotted the surveillance, and tried to flee. Agents stopped the car, detained Falcon and a passenger, and found about seven grams of cocaine in the passenger compartment, and a loaded .22 caliber pistol in the trunk. In the Denver Street apartment, agents found two bags containing about two ounces of cocaine, a scale, and a safe. Inside the safe, agents found a loaded .45 caliber pistol and $17,000 in cash. In the Prospect Street residence, which Falcon owned, agents found 565 grams of cocaine in a kitchen drawer. The total weight of cocaine seized was about 627 grams. Falcon told agents that he had been selling cocaine at a rate of about 100 grams per week for the past year. Judge Lisi sentenced Falcon to 97 months in prison for two drug-trafficking offenses and being a felon in possession of a firearm, and an additional 60 months for possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking offense.

Falcon has prior state drug firearms convictions.
