friendly page] Two Kentucky Men Indicted For Illegal Peddling of Pills JUN 4 -- (Bowling Green, KY) - A federal grand jury in Bowling Green returned an indictment against Freddie Stone Jr., age 36, of 552 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Orvey Carl Harris, age 31, of 715 Maple Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky, on charges of conspiring to illegally distribute Oxycontin and Hydrocodone, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today. The Indictment alleges that on April 11, 2008, Stone and Harris conspired to distribute over 900 Oxycontin pills and over 200 hydrocodone pills, and that on April 11, 2008, Stone possessed with the intent to distribute the same pills. If convicted, the maximum potential penalties for Stone are 70 years imprisonment, a $4,500,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of not less than 6 years; and the maximum potential penalties for Harris are 20 years imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of not less than 3 years. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Weiser, and it was investigated by the United States Drug Enforcement Agency. Both defendants are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on June 18, 2008, at10:00 a.m., in Bowling Green, Kentucky. * * * The indictment of a person by a Grand Jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. ###
