Reduction Takes the DEA Drug Message to the Kentucky State Fair
Louisville, Kentucky-
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Louisville, Kentucky
office updated the residents of the Greater
Louisville area on current drugs of abuse and DEA’s mission to
keep children safe from throngs of illegal drugs. During the Kentucky
State Fair, approximately 5,000 children and adults visited the DEA Demand
Reduction display. The Demand Reduction Coordinator for the State of
Kentucky, Special Agent Milton Galanos, provided information and safety
guidelines about marijuana, club and predatory drugs and methamphetamine.
DEA has increased its exposure
to the public by attending law enforcement open houses and informational
meetings to inform all aspects of the public
on the vital work of drug law enforcement and DEA’s mission to
investigate and prosecute those persons that endanger our children.
