Course Registration Procedure

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) El Paso Field Division is committed to the very best anti-drug training, not only for DEA personnel, but also our State and Local enforcement counterparts in New Mexico and West Texas.

Every year DEA offers classed in subjects such as Telecommunications and Internet exploitation, Financial Investigations and Tactical Enforcement Training. DEA El Paso is also committed to training our State and Local counterparts to combat the growing Methamphetamine problem. This is accomplished by sending individuals to specialized Clandestine Lab training at our facilities in Quantico, Virginia. DEA El Paso also sends representatives from State and Local Law Enforcement to the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Academy (DUCA). This highly specialized and prestigious school is designed for upper level supervisors from State and Local agencies to improve knowledge and cooperation among the agencies. DEA El Paso also offers training opportunities through our affiliation with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Agency (HIDTA).

If you are interested in attending any of these programs, please refer to course registration procedure and submit application to Division Training Coordinator (DTC) Scott Holcomb. If you have any questions, or want to discuss your agency’s training needs, DTC Holcomb can be reached at 915-832-6000 (office), or 915-832-6001 (fax).

Drug trafficking organizations are always changing their methods of operation to continue making profits. If we are to be effective in disrupting these organizations we need to not only stay abreast of current trends, but we also need to continue working together and sharing resources. It is only through this cooperation that we can provide the quality of service that our citizens demand and deserve. The El Paso Field Division Training Unit stands ready to assist in your training needs to further our collective counter-drug mission
