JAN 28--On January 19, 2004, Miami Field Division SAC Thomas W. Raffanello, as well as several MFD Special Agents, attended the 11th Annual 5000 Role Models of Excellence Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unit Scholarship Breakfast in Miami. This annual event brings together community leaders and role models from the South Florida area. The 5000 Role Models of Excellence exists to guide minority boys "along a carefully chartered path to manhood and send them to college." During the breakfast, SAC Raffanello was inducted into the 5000 Role Models of Excellence. Other inductees included Congressman Peter Deutsch, former Miami Heat player Alonzo Mourning and Miami Dolphins player Samuel Madison, Jr.
