Mark R. Trouville

Miami Field Division

Mr. Mark R. Trouville currently serves as the Special Agent in Charge of the Miami Field Division, where he oversees all operations throughout the state of Florida, as well as the Bahamas. The Miami Field Division is the largest of DEA's domestic field divisions, with 18 offices throughout Florida and the Bahamas.

Mr. Trouville was born in Dracut, Massachusetts in 1956. In 1978, Mr. Trouville began his career with the Drug Enforcement Administration as a student intern assigned to the Office of Intelligence in Washington, D.C. In 1979, Mr. Trouville received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, graduating summa cum laude, while majoring in Criminal Justice. Later that same year, Mr. Trouville was selected for the position of Criminal Investigator. After graduating from Basic Agent Training Class, Mr. Trouville was assigned to the Miami Field Division as a DEA Special Agent.

In 1984, Mr. Trouville was selected as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy in Glynco, Georgia where he served in the International Training Unit through 1986. In 1986, Mr. Trouville was selected to open the Cochabamba, Bolivia Office, and served as the Resident Agent in Charge until 1988 when he transferred to the Los Angeles Field Division. In 1990, Mr. Trouville was promoted to Group Supervisor of an enforcement group, which concentrated on international money laundering investigations. Mr. Trouville served in this capacity until his transfer to DEA Headquarters in 1995 as an Inspector with DEA’s Inspection Division. In 1996, Mr. Trouville was promoted to Senior Inspector, where he served until his transfer to Los Angeles as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge.

On January 16, 2000, Mr. Trouville was appointed to DEA’s Senior Executive Service as the Associate Special Agent in Charge, Los Angeles Field Division, where he led one of DEA’s most active and productive divisions. On January 7, 2002, Mr. Trouville was selected for the position of Special Agent in Charge of the New England Field Division, in which he oversaw all drug enforcement operations throughout the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. On January 19, 2005, Mr. Trouville was selected to serve in his current position of Special Agent in Charge of the Miami Field Division.
