Search
Warrant, Two Arrests and the Seizure of Thirteen Firearms and Seven
Improvised Explosive Devices
In Staten Island, New York

29 - On Wednesday, April 28, 2004, during the course of an ongoing
drug investigation members of the New York Drug Enforcement Task
Force, comprised of DEA, NYPD and the NYSP, information was developed
that Albert Boschi, described as a survivalist was in possession
of marijuana and a significant amount of weapons. Based on that information
a search warrant was issued by the Staten Island District Attorney’s
Office. Law enforcement established surveillance on the above residence.
At approximately 6:15PM, Boschi exited his residence and was stopped
by members of Group T-22 and informed of the warrant.

subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following
weapons and ammunition:
a. Three semi-automatic
assault rifles with bayonet mounts, laser sights, and pistol grip extendable
stocks. b. One Mossberg twelve gauge shotgun.
c. One Remington 30.06 caliber bolt action rifle.
d. One Amadeo Rossi .357 caliber bolt action rifle.
e. One Colt Government model .45 caliber pistol.
f. One FIE Ranger .22 caliber pistol.
g. One Shooter Arms .22 caliber pistol.
h. One Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter pistol.
i. One Thompson Arms black powder .50 caliber firearm.
j. One Fillipietta black powder .44 caliber pistol.
k. One Pigarmi army
trooper black powder .44 caliber pistol.
l. Several thousand rounds of ammunition for the aforementioned weapons.
m. Seven improvised explosive devices which consisted of block busters,
gun powder and nails wrapped in aluminum with a pyrotechnic fuse.
Albert Boschi converted his basement into a modified bunker stocked
with enough military rations and food to feed his family for several
months. He possessed chemical suits, gas masks, communist propaganda
and video surveillance equipment which monitored both the front and back
door. The Emergency Service Unit and the Bomb Squad responded and removed
the improvised explosive devices from the residence.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with N.Y. State
Penal Law Criminal Possession of a Weapon 1st Degree, Criminal Possession
of a Weapon 3rd Degree (Explosive device), Criminal Possession of a Weapon
4th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
