Armed
Fugitive Arrested With Over ½ Ton Of Marijuana On
September 17, 2004 members of the DEA San Diego County Integrated
Narcotic Task Force (NTF), working in cooperation with the
San Diego Police Department (SDPD) Fugitive Task Force, the Carlsbad
Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office culminated
an investigation with the arrest of Ismael Fernandez, a fugitive wanted
on 2 separate felony burglary warrants, during the execution of a search
warrant at 57 Walnut Drive, Chula Vista, California. Seized at the residence
was a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol, approximately 1500 pounds of
marijuana, and approximately 1 ounce of “ice” methamphetamine.
Also arrested at the residence was Lucero Verduzco-Rodriguez.
The marijuana had a local street value of approximately $450,000.00.
